Privacy Policy

Selfless Cricket ("we", "us", or "our") operates this website. This policy explains what we collect when you visit, and how we use and protect it.

1. Information we collect

You do not need an account to read, like, or comment. We collect:

• Limited technical information such as browser type, pages visited and approximate location derived from your IP address.
• A random anonymous identifier stored in a cookie, used only so that a like or view from your browser is counted once. It contains no personal details.
• If you comment: the display name and comment you submit, and an email address if you choose to give one. Email addresses are never shown publicly.
• If you use the contact form: your name, email address, optional company name and message.

IP addresses and the anonymous identifier are stored only in hashed form, and are used to prevent spam and abuse.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies to remember your theme preference, count likes and views once per browser, and protect forms from abuse. If advertising or analytics are enabled, those providers may set their own cookies. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working.

3. Advertising

We may use Google AdSense and other third-party advertising services. These providers may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and of many third-party vendors at www.aboutads.info.

4. Analytics

We may use third-party analytics services to understand how visitors use the site. These may collect pages visited and time spent, and may use cookies to do so.

5. How we use information

• To operate, maintain, and improve the site.
• To show likes, comments and reading statistics.
• To moderate comments and prevent spam.
• To respond to messages you send us.
• To display relevant advertising, where enabled.

6. Comments

Comments appear on the site and may be hidden or removed by moderators. To ask for a comment you wrote to be removed, contact us with the story and the name you used.

7. Third-party links and embeds

Stories may link to or embed content from other services such as X. Those services have their own privacy policies, and embedded content may behave as if you visited that service directly.

8. Retention

Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and for our records. Anonymous view and like records are kept to calculate rankings; rate-limit records are deleted within a day.
